Privacy Policy

CainView is the Morehead-Cain video interview platform. This policy explains what information is collected through CainView, how it is used, and who may access it. If you have questions before completing your interview, contact selections@moreheadcain.org.

Information We Collect

  • Identity and contact information, such as name, email address, invited program, and sign-in activity.
  • Interview information, including video recordings, audio, uploaded response metadata, timestamps, progress, and completion status.
  • Technical information needed to operate the interview flow, such as browser, device, camera and microphone permission status, upload status, and troubleshooting signals like whether audio was detected or the camera image appeared unavailable or black.
  • Committee activity, such as review access, account role, and administrative actions.

How We Use Information

  • To invite candidates and committee members to the platform.
  • To let candidates complete required video interview steps.
  • To let authorized committee members review submitted interview responses.
  • To support, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the interview process.
  • To maintain records related to the selection process and platform administration.

Who Can Access Information

  • Authorized Morehead-Cain staff, reviewers, and committee members may access interview materials as needed for the selection process.
  • Service providers may process data on our behalf to host, secure, store, transcode, email, or operate the platform.
  • Information may be disclosed if required by law, legal process, security needs, or to protect the rights and safety of applicants, reviewers, Morehead-Cain, or others.

Video and Audio Recordings

  • The platform records video and audio only during the interview recording steps.
  • Practice or technical-check recordings that are described as local-only are not uploaded as submitted interview responses.
  • Submitted responses may be stored, processed, stitched, exported, downloaded by authorized reviewers, and reviewed as part of the selection process.

Retention

  • Interview materials and related records are retained for as long as needed for the selection process, operational needs, recordkeeping, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and security.
  • Morehead-Cain may delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed, subject to legal or operational requirements.

Minors

  • Some candidates may be under the age of 18. By continuing, a candidate confirms that they are permitted to participate in the interview process and, where required, have permission from a parent or guardian.
  • A parent, guardian, or candidate with questions about participation or data handling should contact Morehead-Cain before completing the interview.

Security

  • Access is invite-only and tied to authenticated accounts.
  • The platform uses administrative controls, access restrictions, and cloud security services to help protect information.
  • No internet service can guarantee perfect security, so candidates should use a private device and secure network when completing the interview.

  • Requests may be subject to identity verification, selection-process requirements, legal obligations, and recordkeeping needs.
